Weekend Wound Care Nurse (RN) 

Palms Care Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the Weekend Wound Care Nurse role! 

Shift details: 7a-3:30p Saturday and Sunday. *Must be able to work every weekend. 

Additional compensation includes:

• 1.5X Holiday Pay
• 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week

As a Wound Care Nurse, your position involves making comprehensive wound assessments and creating a plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluations and providing general direct nursing care to the residents.

The Responsibilities of Wound Care Nurse include:

• Performs wound care treatments as ordered.
• Performs an evaluation of patient and/or resident’s skin condition upon admission.
• Reports and communicate findings with the assigned physician.
• Documents status of all wound healing and treatment provided.
• Reviews skin assessments and evaluation for all newly admitted patients and/or residents with significant change.

Job Requirements of Wound Care Nurse: 

• Must possess a RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved RN program.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a medical or surgical, rehabilitation nursing setting.
• CWOCN or CWCN preferred.
