Summary:

This position is a member of the Treasury team and its primary purpose is to support the Treasury and Insurance functions of the Company. This position is responsible for reviewing and maintaining the Company's cash forecast model, making recommendations on debt and cash positions, assisting with the Company's insurance coverage, as well as month end closing and analysis related to the Company's pension and post-retirement benefits, the contributory retirement programs, and the self-insured medical program.

Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

  • Update and review the Company cash forecast model. Responsibilities include updating inputs including but not limited to cash receipts, cleared checks, wires, ACHs along with other various debit and credit items to actively monitor the Company's daily cash position. Will prepare multiple "scenarios" to assist with budget, forecast and growth. Will review current and historical financial information to improve forecast accuracy and trend analysis. Will monitor compliance with debt covenants under projected financial scenarios. Will make recommendations regarding cash and debt position and investment opportunities.*
  • Assist with the Company's insurance program, working closely with the insurance broker to provide policy renewal information, report and monitor claims or potential claims, COI requests and other items as needed. Manage and reconcile the prepaid insurance. Manage and reconcile the general liability insurance reserve monitoring activity closely for accuracy.*
  • Perform forecasting, month end analysis and reconciliation of HE&R benefit plan accounts including pension and post retirement liabilities, self-insured medical liabilities, and 401(k) liabilities. Responsibilities will include review, analysis and reconciliation of the related expense accounts, ensuring proper coding of fees and expenses.*
  • Assist with the review of various month-end reconciliations, including cash, as prepared by the Financial Analyst - Treasury.*
  • Budgeting responsibilities to include assistance with the self-insured medical, pension and post retirement expenses. In addition, will be responsible for assisting with budgeting the balance sheet. Throughout the year, monitor actual vs budget results and analyze variances.*
  • Perform Ad Hoc Analysis and modeling as needed related to special projects including Company- wide lease analysis, lease vs buy analysis, ROI, IRR, and present value of cash flows.*
