About this job
Our client in the Des Moines area is looking for Shipping & Receiving Handlers to join their team. This is a full time position, temp to direct hire after 90 days.
Functions:
- Working in a team to ensure timely and error-free shipments while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Read basic print facts and tape measure to ensure accuracy
- Operate overhead/jib cranes and forklifts to move, load, unload raw material, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Inspect and verify shipments through proper documentation, complete paperwork, and shipping procedures as required.
- Occasional grasping, pushing, pulling, flipping, and lifting of sheet metal (up to 100 lbs.)
