This position is with the new Cognitive and Advanced Strategic Solutions (CASS) group within Lockheed Martin Space. We are seeking a Staff AI/ML Machine Learning Engineer, to support several Machine Learning programs in the CASS portfolio. Our team works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and edge solutions, solving some of the most challenging problems in space.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with software architects, data scientists, AI/ML research engineers, mathematicians, physicists, and software engineers across the CASS portfolio on some of the most exciting and rewarding missions at Lockheed Martin Space. You will design, develop, and mature advanced solutions to real-world problems and have opportunities to explore and integrate emergent technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python scripting and/or object-oriented development (Java, C++, C#) • Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and/or image processing
Desired Skills:
• Experience in remote sensing phenomenologies (for example EO/IR/SAR) • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and/or scikit-learn • Experience with cloud computing platforms or services (AWS, Domino, Azure, etc.) • Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions, and issues to both highly technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong problem solving skills, business acumen, and demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with an investigation within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
