Position: Drinking Water Solutions - Business Development Manager
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township/Pittsburgh, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Mondays - Fridays, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Travel: Minimal overnight travel, occasion customer or conferences requiring overnight travel
The DWS Business Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the Drinking Water Solutions business line in achieving overall revenue, volume, and margin growth. You will never get bored in this high growth water treatment arena as a jack-of-all-trades with a primary focus on developing business plans that are consistent with the overall business landscape and objectives while working out how to incorporate them into the long-term strategic plan. You will lead development initiatives targeting growth in the identified regions and subsegments. This will often require interfacing with various people and groups outside of DWS, including Product Management, Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and others to develop and execute innovative new approaches, strategies, data analysis, products, and solutions in the identified market spaces.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in developing the essential strategy for short and long-term selling in BL's market spaces and geographies by spearheading development projects, collecting and analyzing various market, product, and revenue data and incorporating short-, medium- and long-term business strategies
Analyze and support development initiatives targeting growth in specified market segments (i.e., PFAS, DBPs, emerging contaminants, etc.), applications or product areas
Current impact project: Assess carbon reactivation landscape and determine plan for potable GAC reactivation expansion
Participate and/or lead expansion and strategic initiative projects to grow or improve BL position
Create graphs and PowerPoint presentations to succinctly communicate the status and nature of data or projects being worked upon
Data support, tracking and analysis for municipal bids, large equipment sales, custom reactivation sales, etc, as needed
Develop strategies and work closely with marketing to position CCC as the leader in the BL's defined market spaces
Understand and articulate the technical and economic implications of CCC's strategy as it relates to product recommendations, pricing, competitive landscape, and corporate resources required etc.
General understanding of direct competition and emerging competitive technologies
Tracking and management of accurate Application codes
Work with R&D and Applications Engineering to provide customer perspective on new product development and solutions
Determine need for third party reports and/or support and direct the interpretation or implementation of such data or support
Occasionally participate in technical conferences, trade shows, and industry forums to give and gain technical and market knowledge
Sales Force CRM lead for BL. Lead implementation, administration, training and reporting for the BL
Other business activities: manage receivables, legal contract negotiations, routing BL reporting and contract pricing escalations
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (A degree in engineering or the sciences is preferred)
A Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent is preferred (A degree in a technical discipline or an MBA is preferred)
3-5 years of Granular Activated Carbon related experience is preferred
5-7 years of experience working in Chemical Engineering or related technical field is preferred
Excel mastery and pivot table familiarity is preferred
