Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Location: Fillmore, CA Employment Type: Full-time, Contract School Year: 2023-2024 Pay Rate: $27-$34/hour Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? Our school district in Fillmore, CA is seeking a passionate and qualified SLPA to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with communication disorders. * Implement treatment plans and interventions designed by the SLP, targeting speech and language goals. * Utilize various therapeutic techniques and activities to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, and social pragmatics. * Assist in conducting assessments, collecting data, and documenting student progress. * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development and academic success. * Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district and state regulations. * Attend and participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as needed. Qualifications: * Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. * Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field. * Experience working as an SLPA in an educational setting is preferred. * Strong knowledge of speech and language development, communication disorders, and evidence-based therapy techniques. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
