A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO certified company, is a leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan, IL is looking for a Production Control Planner to join our growing team.
Review Customer Order Report for assigned product line. Create Work Orders and acknowledge customer order dates. Create purchase orders for parts that require plating. Analyze, and then perform transactions if necessary to make corrections to work orders, receiving and inventory. Review Customer Order Pack Slips and Receiving Records then assign information. Review Engineering Change Notices and then take necessary action. Communicate concerns in Production Control meetings.
Review Customer Order report for assigned product line.
· Create Work Orders and acknowledge dates based upon work centers capacity, component and raw material availability.
· Create purchase orders for parts that require plating to appropriate vendors.
· Attend meetings and communicate concerns on work order running dates for shipments, reaction to new customer orders and raw material needs, work center performance, purchased items, vendor issues, engineering changes and quality control action issues.
· Analyze and then perform transactions if necessary to make corrections to work orders, receiving records and inventory.
· Review Customer Order Pack Slips and assign appropriate work order and work center locations.
· Review Receiving Records and assign appropriate locations to distribute parts.
· Analyze, work center's capacity, if a work center is overloaded, work with the team to balance out the loads by moving work order dates out.
· Review Engineer Change Notices and then take action if necessary for new part items. If a part has a revision work with Production Control Manager so that First in First Out (FIFO) is performed.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
· Must have production planning, scheduling, and inventory control experience.
· Ability to work and communicate with all levels of personnel and in a team environment.
· Knowledge of MRP (material requirements planning) and CRP (capacity requirements planning)
· APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) training/certification a plus.
· Requires ability to use calculator, computer, telephone, and copy equipment
