Cyber Defense System Engineer

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your technical expertise and grow your skills to provide analytical and technical solutions in support of our warfighters? We're looking for a Cyber Defense System Engineer to help share information, develop guidance, and provide compliance support to help military units to maintain the security of the critical US Military computer operating systems. As a Cyber Defense System Engineer on our project, you'll work with other technical experts to help our customer overcome tough challenges and help improve the readiness of military units to perform their roles. Your communication skills will come in handy as you share your experience and work as a vital member of a team to solve daily challenges as we support and improve US Military Information Operations.

You Have:

  • 2 years of experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT Level II) certification including CCNA, CySA+, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, CND, or SSCP
  • Army accepted DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certificate of Training

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience providing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of computer systems, network architectures, policies and procedures, or applications
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, cyber defensive techniques, or computer security policies and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP) certification
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or a more advanced Penetration Testing/Technical Red Teaming certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
