Position Information
The Student Disability Resources Center provides services for students with various permanent or temporary disabilities. These disabilities may include: learning disabilities; attention deficit disorder; autism, visual, mobility, or hearing impairments; psychological disabilities; chronic systemic disorders (e.g., lupus, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes); fractures, strains, or stress injuries. The Disability Specialist interprets medical documentation to recommend and facilitate reasonable accommodations for students with learning, psychological, neurological, and other disabilities to ensure their access to the educational opportunities of the University of California, Riverside. The Specialist works with individual students to determine eligibility for disability-related accommodations and services, providing appropriate follow-up and disability-related counseling. They serve as the campus resource specialist in the development of accommodations and academic adjustments for this population, providing on-going consultation and problem-solving assistance to faculty and staff. The expected pay for this position is up to $73,850.
As a condition of employment, successful applicants will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. Education Requirements
Degree Requirement Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology or related field, or a Master's degree in counseling psychology (or related field) and two years of experience as a professional psychologist. Requirement
4 - 7 years of related experience.
Required
Experience in interpreting psycho-educational reports and neuropsychiatric reports, and ability to apply this information for determination of appropriate disability accommodations.
