Job Title: Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) - Spanaway, WA - 2023/2024 School Year

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year. This is a full-time position located in Spanaway, WA, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students. The successful candidate must hold ESA certification and possess OSPI fingerprints.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and identify areas of concern.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' specific needs.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve students' functional skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' educational and developmental goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor students' progress, document therapy sessions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' IEP goals and objectives.
  • Stay up to date with current best practices and trends in occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid ESA certification.
  • OSPI fingerprints clearance.
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric conditions, assessments, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
