What You'll Do

The Warehouse Manager Assistant will assist the Engine PDC warehouse manager in managing daily warehouse operations. This position is involved in supervising/coordinating activities of the warehouse including receiving, storing, and shipping goods or products and handling all shipping documentation (requires 70% warehouse physical work and 30% of office work).


Overall Warehouse duties

  1. Maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and whole stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing efficient inventory management practices.
  2. Assisting in the development and implementation of warehouse policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  3. Assisting in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of warehouse personnel.
  4. Monitoring and optimizing warehouse layout and organization to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
  5. Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  6. Assisting in scanning and copying all documentation and assisting other office works as needed.
  7. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the warehouse operations.
  8. Handling customer inquiries (part discrepancy and specs) and complaints related to warehouse activities, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  9. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, such as health and safety standards, and maintaining proper documentation.
  10. Coordinating with external service providers, such as transport companies or maintenance contractors, to support warehouse operations.
  11. Supporting the implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Warehouse physical duties

  1. Receiving and inspecting incoming goods or products, verifying their quantity and quality.
  2. Storing goods or products in designated warehouse locations following proper inventory management procedures.
  3. Picking, packing, and labeling products for outgoing orders based on provided instructions.
  4. Using manual or automated equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, moves goods within the warehouse.
  5. Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies.
  6. Assisting in loading and unloading shipments, both manually and using equipment.
  7. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including arranging stock and keeping aisles clear.
  8. Coordinating with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  9. Assisting in preparing shipping documents, such as packing lists or bills of lading.
  10. Following safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
  11. Collaborating with supervisors to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
  12. Communicating and coordinating with logistics or procurement, as needed.
  13. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulations governing warehouse operations.
  14. Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software to track and manage inventory.
  15. Assisting in the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.

Requirements:

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • College level or above degree is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SCM software (SAP is plus)
  • Minimum 5 yrs. of Warehouse experience required.
  • Demonstrated driving vehicles (Forklift, Cherry Picker etc.) and valid driver's license
  • Experience with PDA scanner
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English/Korean)
  • Travel : <5%
  • Physical requirements:
  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.
  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
