Bereavement Care Liaison

The Bereavement Care Liaison assesses and provides grief and bereavement support to the patient/family and community. Ensures that regulatory requirements and standards of care are met. Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates all bereavement groups, events and activities in a manner that is meaningful to the individuals served.

Baccalaureate Degree in social work, counseling or related area required, with state licensure if applicable. Prefer at least one year experience in a health care setting, with knowledge of current trends in bereavement care and end-of-life experience. Experience in the area of grief and loss support and group activities. Demonstrates ability to communicate professionally with clients, team members, providers, and healthcare professionals, displays personal qualities of empathy, responsibility, diplomacy and integrity.
