Lead DOT Hazmat Driver - Part-time

Associated Couriers provides a unique delivery service for the medical sector and is looking for a safe and dependable Full-Time Lead Delivery Driver-DOT with Hazmat endorsement to join our Kansas City, MO team on a full-time basis covering various local routes.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations daily
• Transport freight from distribution to delivery site without error
• Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day to ensure drivers are meeting their delivery goals
• Train new and existing drivers in proper customer service, efficient route driving, paperwork, and proper customer interaction
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Completes Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
• Load and unload freight to and from vehicle using safety perimeters that are put into place
• Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Track and report working hours
• Responsible for counting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up to ensure accurate paperwork for customer transactions
• Other responsibilities as delegated by management

• Minimum of 2 years logistics, distribution and/or transportation/Supply Chain Solutions experience
• Has a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possesses a valid CDL driver's license with Hazmat Endorsement with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years
• Is authorized in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to pass a DOT Drug Test to comply with FMSCA requirements
• Has open work availability including nights and weekends
• Ability to travel up to 15% when needed
• Ability to comprehend the last-mile delivery industry, our capabilities and deliver our value proposition
• A solid working knowledge of and proficiency with all Microsoft products (excel, word, outlook, teams, power-point, etc.)
• Ability to interact with customers and communicate delivery problems verbally over the phone
• Organized, attentive to detail, accountable, open-minded, coachable, self-starting, solid follow-through, and multi-tasking
