Lumber Piler - Full-time

This is an entry level position. Candidates for this position must be in good physical condition as they will be required to perform manual labor.  Work will be performed during all seasons, while being exposed to wood dust and at times loud noises daily.

Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:15 pm Lunch: 12-12:45pm. 


Responsibilities

• Sorting and stacking hardwood products – repetitive motions used daily.
• Straightens lumber on conveyor to align lumber for grading, sawing, edging, trimming, sorting, stacking, or for transfer to other locations.
• Shovel bark and chips and cleans work area, using broom and shovel. Make sure mill floor is clean of banding and boards before leaving every day.
• Learn to operate various machinery and complete preventative maintenance as scheduled on assigned equipment.
• Some climbing and crawling may be involved associated with housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work and requires very good attendance record.
• Must be willing to cross-train in various positions, be self-motivated, possess good work ethics.
• Ability to be a team player and follow direction from supervisors.
