The BEES Administrative Unit provides business services for a large and complex operation encompassing extensive teaching, research, and outreach components for the Botanic Gardens, Earth &Planetary Sciences, and Environmental Sciences in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS). In addition, BEES supports the UCR employees and campus purchases of the USDA Salinity Laboratory and provides conference management support for all units within CNAS. The BEES Administrative Specialist will coordinate facilities projects, space surveys, and equipment inventory; will serve as the Department Safety Coordinator; and will provide general oversight of building safety. This position will also reallocate Procurement Card purchases; research and release encumbrances; provide administrative support for Summer Session course offerings; and complete special projects as assigned. In the absence of the BEES Administrative Assistant, provides backup support for shipping & receiving, mail distribution, and issuance of keys/fobs.
The full salary range for the Administrative Specialist position is $30.44 - $48.66 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $30.44 - $34.43 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and/or organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline.
