ENTERTAINMENT AMBASSADOR – Age 18+ - Part-time

Looking for a fun Part-Time position? Ever wonder how Hersheypark shows come together? Are you interested in helping with guest's experiences in and around the park? The Entertainment department is looking for outgoing, friendly, and hardworking individuals who are interested in working in Hersheypark for our Aquatheatre shows, Dark Nights , and Christmas in the park. The Aquatheatre includes providing guests with a safe and memorable experience while being educated about our seal and sea lion friends. This takes place all year round.

Dark Nights includes helping with decorations around the park and handing out our signature candies to our guests. This takes place on select weekends throughout September and October. Christmas in the park includes helping with the decorations and set-up for Hersheypark , Christmas Candylane , and our famous Hershey Sweet Lights . This takes place on select dates in November through December. We provide a unique opportunity to work around professionals throughout the industry during a fun-filled year, packed with employee parties and special events!

Positions are currently available for employees age 18 or older who are available to work throughout the fall for Hersheypark Halloween and Christmas Candylane (September, October, November and December).

Job Functions:

• Welcome each guest into the venue in a friendly and enthusiastic manner
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for our guests by cleaning venues between shows
• Be an informed resource on Park information Assist guests to appropriate seating areas
• Maintain the record of accurate show counts for each show
• Learn operational standards for the Entertainment Department at Hersheypark
• Assist with our character program by becoming a guide and ensuring guests make lasting memories
• Assist in decorating and preparing Hersheypark for seasonal events
• Assist operationally with seasonal events and offerings

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years or older on the day of applying

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong verbal communication skills Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts
• Must be comfortable speaking with guests, informing them of entertainment offerings and help create lasting memories for the guests
• Must be able to speak, write, and understand English
• Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines. Please note some departments may be more stringent on the appearance guidelines due to business needs.
• Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work at least two (2) weekends per month from September through December
• Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to work in combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions (including extreme heat)
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and communicating
• Must be able to stand for whole shifts
