Position Information
The Outreach and Engagement organization is an IT-based unit that serves as the customer-focus function of ITS to ensure a successful and productive working relationship with campus partners. The Advocate role will report to the Outreach and Engagement Director and provide oversight to campus partners with an established partnership with ITS. This position will be responsible for understanding the campus partner(s) needs so that they can proactively provide recommendations for technology solutions. The advocate will be available to provide technical consultation, share updates on upcoming ITS implementations for awareness, and help manage demands for campus partner(s).
This is a ONE-YEAR CONTRACT position. Should additional funding be made available in the future, the contract could be extended or the position converted to a permanent career position. Furthermore, this position is classified as hybrid (schedule to be determined).
The full salary range for the Outreach & Engagement Advocate is $71,700 to $128,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is UP TO $115,000 annually. UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of "Up to Date" Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.
