Hiring Tow Truck Drivers in Florida.

Hiring Light-Duty, Heavy-Duty & Low‐Boy/Tractor Wrecker Drivers in Florida! $1,500 sign on bonus and out of State $2,500 signing bonus!

Light‐Duty-

Wrecker or Car Carrier Operator

• Have critical knowledge, understanding and ability of the safe operation of a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than

25,999 lbs.

Medium or Heavy‐Duty-

Wrecker or Car Carrier Operator

• Have critical knowledge, understanding and ability of the safe operation of a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of more than 26,001 lbs. and posses a valid FL CDL driver’s license relative to the vehicle being operated and towed combination.

Low‐Boy/Tractor Trailer Operator-

• Have critical knowledge, understanding and ability of the safe operation of a commercial industrial carrier or tractor and trailer combination with a GVWR rating in excess of 33,000 lbs.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), 
• Relevant trade school - Towing, recovery or transport accreditation
• At least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experience
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools

Essential Duties:

• Reliable, strong customer service and professional demeanor
• Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport
• Ability to communicate and work closely with Dispatch
• Ability to perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issues
• Ability to follow all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulations
• Report all mechanical issues with regard to trucks and trailers at the time of discovery.
• Ability to work with software and computer programs i.e. samsara, GPS, and tow book
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. good hearing and vision required.
