Material Handler - Full-time / Part-time

**Now paying $19.75 per hour!**
Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Shipping and Receiving department supporting their material handling operations. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have good communication skills and be reliable, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Itasca, Illinois



Pay: $19.75 per hour



Shift: Monday- Friday



1st shift: 4:00 am- 12:00 pm

2nd Shift: 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm



What’s the Job? A materials handler is responsible for storing, moving, and handling materials. Working as a materials handler doesn't require formal education, but does entail extensive on-the-job training. A materials handler has a very structured work environment to minimize safety risks. Each job is planned in detail and safety issues are addressed before a job begins.The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be performed. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein is such duties are a logical assignment to the position

• Identifies, transports, packs, removes, and disposes of materials.
• Ensure safe work environment
• Follows all safety procedures and regulations including wearing special protective gear and disposing of materials as regulated by law.
• Contribute to Greencore daily inbound and outbound operations
• Physically moves materials and uses heavy equipment to move materials on a regular basis.sembly
• Operate forklifts to pick, replenish, shuttle and load/unload orders.
• May count, weigh or record numbers of units or materials moved or handled.

What’s Needed?

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Must be fork lift certified within 90 days
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Must be able to “side shift” and have worked with stand up forklifts and extended forks.
