Full-Time Pre-School Special Education TeacherWe are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Full-Time Pre-School Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This position is contracted by ProCare Therapy and will be based in Warren, OH. As a special education teacher, you will play a critical role in providing specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Plan and deliver effective lessons using a variety of instructional strategies and materials tailored to each student's unique learning needs
- Assess student progress, set goals, and track data to ensure continuous growth and development
- Collaborate with parents, other educators, and related service providers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or a related field)
- Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education (Ohio state certification preferred)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
Contract Details: This is a full-time position contracted by ProCare Therapy for the 2023-2024 school year. The selected candidate will receive a competitive compensation package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
