Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - 23/24 School Assignment
Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based contract assignment for our client near Abita Springs, LA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse student population and make a meaningful impact on their communication skills and overall academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose communication disorders in students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with various communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support students' communication development in the classroom.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy strategies as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on therapy progress and recommendations for home practice.
- Attend meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) discussions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state license as an SLP.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques for various communication disorders.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Contract Details:
- This is a W2 contract position for the duration of the school assignment.
