Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district near Alexandria, LA for the 23-24 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position with a caseload covering grades K-8.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, addressing areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills within the academic setting
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' individualized education plans
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to promote language development and academic success
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Louisiana
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders in school-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
