Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district near Parkersburg, WV. This is a full-time onsite position for the 23-24 school year. The caseload primarily consists of elementary students. Candidates with varying levels of experience, including Clinical Fellows (CFs) and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and social/pragmatic skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development within the classroom and home environments
  • Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and document students' performance
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and review of students' goals and objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to promote students' communication skills
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in West Virginia
  • For CFs: Completion of or enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship (CF) program
  • For SLPAs: Relevant experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with elementary students and knowledge of common speech and language disorders
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Dedication to providing high-quality services to students and supporting their overall development
