About this job
Our Primary Care clinic is searching for a qualified and motivated nurse to join our team. Certification as RN, LPN, or CMA is required. A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a primary care setting is required (2+ years is more desirable). Familiarity with computers is imperative. The ideal candidate will be diligent, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment. Applicants should note that this is a fast-paced work place which will challenge one to higher levels of efficiency.
Checking vitals
Interviewing patients
Reviewing and updating allergies and medications
Updating chief complaints
Managing patient care according to each patient’s needs under Provider Supervision
Phlebotomy, Collecting Urine Specimens, Throat swabs, EKG, spirometry
Administering injections of medications
Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
Creating and entering data in spreadsheets, drafting memos and letters when needed
Referrals and obtaining Pre-Certifications for procedures and medication
Attending to refill requests, patient forms, and other patient-related documentation
Communicating with patients by phone and/or via the patient portal
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations: Masks, hand sanitizers and PPE are provided to staff. Masks are required for everyone while in the office.
Primary Care: 1-2 years (Required)
EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
License: RN, LPN, or CMA (Required)
Work Location: one location primarily but at times may require travel to other clinics
