Position: School Occupational Therapist
Job Description: As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve academic success and enhance their overall well-being. You'll work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized plans and provide therapeutic interventions to support students' unique needs. Your expertise will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' specific needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address motor, sensory, and developmental challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to implement intervention strategies both in the classroom and home settings.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute valuable insights and remendations.
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies for promoting students' independence and success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Montana.
- Masters in Occupational Therapy
- School-based experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- A heart for working with children and a passion for promoting their growth and development.
