Special Education Teacher - Full-time / Part-time

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Full-Time Middle School Resource Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-24 school year in Ware Shoals, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide appropriate accommodations and modifications for students in the general education setting.
• Conduct assessments and utilize data to inform instruction and track student progress.
• Provide specialized instruction in various subjects and support students in developing academic, social, and life skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
• Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and legal requirements in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the state of South Carolina.
• Experience working with middle school students with special needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
