Salary:

JOB DESCRIPTION: The licensed professional nurse is a leadership and educator role, providing both patient care and education to direct reports, including researching, training, guiding and providing instruction to direct reports.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients
  • Member of the Treatment Team.
  • Handles and dispensing of medications
  • Ensures Universal Precautions of the center.
  • Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed course of treatment.
  • Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor.
  • The Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with OVP Health privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and consumers alike.
  • Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
  • Works under the supervision of RN on duty
  • Delegates tasks to support staff that falls under their scope of practice


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Nurse in Ohio
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
