Wick Buildings is a leader in the post-frame building business. We seek a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team in Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, KS, Kansas City, MO, or Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing business strategies through the development of current independent Authorized Wick Buildings and the recruitment of new builders throughout the territory.

The BDM is responsible for consistent sales goals and travel to builder meetings, trade shows, and job sites. Success is also defined by the ability to collaborate with builders and teammates to drive innovation, communication, and solve challenges. This is an established top-tier company that is growing and expanding through market penetration and geographic expansion. The position will cover an existing productive territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business partners who meet the criteria set by Wick.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders and internal staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity.
  • Establish accurate sales projections.
  • Work with builders to develop effective marketing and business plans by leveraging tools and resources offered by Wick.

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development or related field in the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to master and teach internal software.
  • Excellent driving record and ability to travel overnight throughout the territory.
