Position Summary:

Sovah Health in Martinsville, VA, is seeking a Nursing Admin Assistant to join our Oncology- department PRN.  The Admin Assistant will provide administrative and frontend clerical support for the Oncology Center.

Reports Director, Oncology


Minimum Education
High School graduate or equivalent. College course in medical terminology preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Advanced computer skills necessary; type 35 words per minute with high degree of accuracy. Possess good communication skills and adapt well to changing work demands.

Proficiency in navigating computer programs necessary for, but not limited to, patient registration, electronic medical records and order entry.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting for long periods of time. Dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges. Standing and/or ambulating for short periods of time.
 
Minimum Work Experience
Secretarial/clerical experience preferred.
