About this job

 Our client is looking to hire a Product Manager at their location in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Product Manager manages the product life cycles of current products and analyzes business opportunities involving new products for assigned product lines. The company specializes in agricultural equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and analyze business opportunities involving possible new products or current product line extensionsContinually investigate potential product improvements, enhancements, features to the current product line to respond to market demandsMonitor external research activities that may alter future trends and requirementsDevelop expertise in agricultural tillage and seeding practices to understand farmer’s needs for tillage and seeding equipmentLead new product introduction process for assigned product linesPartner with sales, customer support, engineering and manufacturing departments to bring new products and improved products to the marketAssist in review of design, testing and planning with design engineering and production evaluation departments including agronomic field trial evaluationsWork with Sales Support Manager to develop marketing plans and promotional materials for the new products and product improvementsReview special quote requests from the field and assist in determining what requests warrant further actionSupport sales team by attending select farm shows, answering product questions and conducting field demonstrations of productsAnswer specialized questions regarding product functions and applicationsSupport the creation and development of a price book for assigned product lines DESIRED PROFILE:Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanics or Agricultural Engineering Technology, Plant Science/Agronomy or AgribusinessThree to five years experience in product management/ planning functionsKnowledge of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, welding and torch cuttingKnowledge and experience using Word, Excel, Power Point, and database management Interested in joining our Team?
