What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Mechanic? You’ll be:
• Performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain productive maintenance systems and processes
• Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments
• Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Operating welders, lathe, milling machine, and electronical monitoring equipment to make repair parts
• Troubleshooting and repairing minor air compressor failures
• Operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration systems
• Troubleshooting process electrical problems
• Operating and repairing boilers
• Performing facility duties as required

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school education or GED, formal trade training/education preferred
• Have 5-10 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience required, food processing experience highly preferred
• Possess knowledge of mechanical and equipment maintenance techniques and practices; computerized preventive maintenance programs
• Are able to operate equipment/tools/machinery to make appropriate repairs
• Are able to examine machines and determine defects in operation
• Are able to speak, read, and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities
• Possess a LME (Licensed Mechanical Electrician) license and/or RETA (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association) certificate (on the job experience may be substituted)
• Have supervisory experience
