Position Responsibilities

The Senior Learning Content Specialist (LCS) collaborates closely with the Curriculum Manager, Instructional Designer, Product, and Customer Support teams within Deltek University. They contribute to the creation, development, delivery, and maintenance of learning materials. Partnering with the Curriculum Manager, they align content with product priorities, while collaborating with the Instructional Designer to ensure high-quality, professionally presented materials. Working with Product and Customer Support teams, the LCS ensures accuracy and relevance of training content, facilitating customer success. Additionally, the role involves driving both Standard and Enhanced content on the DLZ, fostering cross-team innovation and collaboration to enrich product knowledge for customers.

Takes responsibility for researching and creating Deltek PPM content for client-facing training content projects, including working with other Learning Content Specialists (LCSs). Participates in moderately complex projects. Develops an Advanced-level understanding of the PPM product Suite. Participates in team decision-making about style, technology, and process issues. Participates in and collaborates with other Deltek teams, meeting team deadlines and providing input. Participates in learning activities to build skills and knowledge. Contributes to a supportive and friendly team that values inclusivity and is invested in learning, knowledge sharing, and each other.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of the Deltek PPM Suite
  • Understands and supports the overall strategy for Deltek University.
  • Contributes to the Deltek University Product Team strategy. Executes and manages high-profile projects independently.
  • Collaborates with a Principal/Sr, Principal Subject Matter Experts on a Deltek University Delivery Event.
  • Explores leadership skills within Deltek University.
  • Creates questions to be used on Deltek PPM Suite Certification Exams.
  • Delivers a virtual-live course that they have developed (1 - hour course).


5 - 8 years of experience in content creation and instruction. Or, a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Technology, or Education (considered but not required).

Required proficiency in the following is a prerequisite for this position:

* Proficiency in PC usage is required.

* Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, for creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and managing communication and calendars.

* Assessment and Evaluation Tools: Familiarity with assessment and evaluation tools, such as Questionmark, SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, or similar tools, to design and administer quizzes, surveys, and assessments for measuring learning outcomes and gathering feedback.

* Collaboration and Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using collaboration and project management tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet, TFS, or similar platforms, to coordinate and track projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional Requirements:

The following tools and proficiencies are preferred, but not required:

  • Knowledge of EVM or US Government Regulations and practices for contractors

* Document Collaboration and Management: Proficiency in document collaboration and management tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms, to store, organize, and share training materials and resources.

* Content Authoring Tools: Proficiency in using content authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Audacity, or similar tools, to develop interactive e-learning modules and multimedia content.

* Video Editing Software: Familiarity with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, to create and edit training audio and videos and multimedia content.

* Virtual Classroom Platforms: Experience with virtual classroom platforms, such as Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools, for delivering live online training sessions and facilitating virtual instructor-led training.

* Learning Management Systems (LMS): Experience with using LMS platforms, such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar systems, to deliver and manage training programs. The administration side of an LMS is not required but preferred.
