The Role

As a Senior Training and Development Specialist at AArete, you will work closely with the Director of Learning & Development (L&D) as well as Operations and leadership teams to develop and deploy trainings for:

1. Project teams in the field

2. Technology and shared services teams

3. Operations departments

The Training and Development Specialist will also manage all new content and training material to ensure effective and relevant training, which includes owning AArete's Learning Management System (LMS), Docebo. This position will also oversee and execute AArete's New Hire onboarding program. Candidates must be detail- oriented, organized, and strong communicators. The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for understanding the development needs of our people and executing various training programs to improve their ability to perform.

Work You'll Do

  • Align training with the organization's strategic goals and employees' development needs
  • Evaluate AArete's training needs by assessing employee knowledge and capabilities, understanding gaps, and identifying where training is needed
  • Provide recommendations to leadership based on aforementioned evaluations
  • Work with AArete leadership to create training content and plans, including coordinating and execution of all training sessions, events, and ongoing workshops focused on applied learning, business communications and technology
  • Assess employees' needs for training through employee surveys and leadership feedback
  • Evaluate and coach to improve the effectiveness of trainings and training instructors
  • Own and manage AArete's LMS, Docebo, including organization, identification, and development of content available on the platform
  • Regular tracking and analysis of training metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), including monthly reporting to key leadership
  • Manage the design and execution of all L&D elements related to AArete's New Hire Onboarding program
  • Drive all L&D communication including L&D training sessions and event invites
  • Facilitate and lead various trainings and meetings for L&D over time, e.g., Strengths training for New Hire Onboarding

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of formal experience supporting a training function or experience working for a professional services firm as a consultant
  • Strong healthcare background with experience in applying technology and an appetite for innovation
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience supporting training programs and leading trainings
  • Experience working with a LMS platform (Docebo experience a plus)
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, task and detail-oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation skills required. Ability to effectively articulate and communicate in a way that retains engagement
  • Applicants must be based in Chicago and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed based on training programs and activities
