Purpose and Essential Duties

The purpose if the driver is the loading and unloading of construction material and deliveries to and from the jobsite and staging of materials on jobsite.

    • Transporting construction to and from various locations.
    • Loading and unloading materials at vendors, contractors and jobsites.
    • Performing the delivery/pick-up of customer materials in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
    • Abide by safety policies and procedures related to all facets of the job.
    • Notify management of any mechanical problems that may occur and changes in account status.
    • Construction material knowledge.

    This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to Shop Foreman.

    Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

    • Have valid driver's license
    • Class A CDL License
    • Be able to lift 100 pounds
    • Typical work week is 40 hrs., but some overtime may be required including weekends
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
    • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
    • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.

    Preferred Education, Experience and Qualifications

    • Bi-lingual (English Spanish) Preferred

    Travel Requirements

    • Some infrequent Over the Road (OTR) travel may at times be required. About 10% of loads will be
      OTR, which are commonly only one night away from home.

    Percentage of Time Commitment

    • On jobsite handling materials (staging) - 60%
    • Driving to and from jobsites & supply house - 40%
