The primary role of a Logistics Coordinator / Document Custodian is to process and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate file/case in the case management system or to the appropriate receiver. They sort the documents by hand and upload the documents into an internal system as required. They will store the documents in either a file proof-safe or a document shredding system. They will also maintain shipping and mailing supplies, such as envelopes, tape, and stamps, and keep an inventory of these supplies. In addition, they process outgoing packages; they package items, ensure proper labeling, and arrange pickup from the post office, UPS, FedEx, or other carriers at PLG Headquarters.

Essential Functions.

Responsible for ensuring both external and internal customers receive the highest level of service by performing the following:

  1. Receives and verifies incoming supply deliveries and mail/packages to ensure accuracy
  2. Accurately sorts all incoming documents and ensures proper delivery to the intended recipient
  3. Complies with the PLG Policies and Procedures
  4. Prepare correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying appropriate postage)
  5. Maintain high level of confidentiality in handling mail and original loan documents
  6. Perform quarterly audit reconciliations of the original document vault
  7. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
  8. The duties and responsibilities listed above may be revised at any time within the sole discretion of PLG without advance notice to or the consent of the employee.
  9. Accepts other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment
This job operates in an open floor setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Basic Knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, word, and excel
  2. High school Diploma

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Basic Knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, word, and excel
  2. LoanSphere, Tempo, and other Default Service Experience, not required, but a plus
  3. High school Diploma
