Job Description

The purpose of the Certified Training Expert (CTE) is to ensure that training follows an adult learner, high quality, standardized process – while being responsible for holding production staff accountable for needed / required training. This role will be responsible to facilitate, and document all required training on their given line and will focus on teamwork and accountability. The position results will be improved overall new hire retention (reduced turnover), improve team member’s knowledge & skill, reduce tribal knowledge through good knowledge transfer and documentation, improve productivity, and assisting in reducing cost.

Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a production line(s) • Facilitates learning and learning activities on their line and throughout the facility • Facilitates learning implementation and skill development • Monitors employees on department metrics • Ensures up-to-date documentation (Training Matrix and All Work Instructions) and process compliance through personal action, audits, line walks, continuous improvement changes, and escalation to team leaders, supervisors, and management team when necessary • Coordinates (and conducts portions of) new hire orientation • Collaborate with other CTEs to develop best practices and implement throughout plant • Attend ongoing PDS training (40 hours of training throughout the year – including at least one Kaizen event


Adult teaching methodology

Effective communication and coaching skills Facilitation, including stand up speaking skills

6 month - 1-year experience in teaching, training, facilitation, etc.

Prefer bi-lingual

Successful completion of AAF CTE training class, 6 months to 1 year training, coaching, facilitation, etc

High School Some college or degree preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft office

Facilitation skills

Basic math skills

Superior communication skills

People orientation.
