Snack Bar Manager (Seasonal) - Part Time/Full Time


Surreywood Swim & Tennis Club is hiring seasonal part-time/full-time managers for summer 2024!  We’re actively seeking responsible, motivated, energetic individuals with leadership and customer service experience to oversee the daily operation of our pool’s snack bar.  Surreywood Swim Club is a family friendly neighborhood pool located in Chesterfield County, VA.  We offer 3 pools, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a playground and picnic area, and a limited service snack bar to our membership.  The Stingray Cafe is known for its expansive menu that includes your favorite poolside snacks as well as made-to-order items including sandwiches and the locally famous Stingray Burger.  Stingray Cafe managers earn competitive pay ($15+ per hour), gain valuable leadership and food service experience, and may qualify for membership benefits.  If you’re interested in joining our fun, friendly, dynamic Stingray Cafe team this summer, apply today!  


Competitive Pay: $15.00+ per hour based on experience


Full/Part Time Hours Available: 15-40 hours/week with some ability to self-schedule; ideal for college kids, teachers, etc.  


Minimum Requirements:

  • Age 18+
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler Certification
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible schedule (days/evenings/weekends/holidays, May thru August)
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Food service experience a plus!



  • Oversee daily operation of snack bar including:
    •      Opening/Closing
    •      Food Prep/Service
    •      Inventory
    •      Purchasing
    •      Accounts
    •      Ensuring adherence to local/state health codes
  • Delegate operational tasks when manager is off-site
  • Staff training and education
  • Employee scheduling
  • Ensure cafe policies/procedures are followed to ensure quality control and member 
  • Foster a cooperative, efficient, respectful work environment
  • Work with pool board, gate guards, lifeguards, manager to resolve member concerns

and ensure member satisfaction

Required qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 18 years or older
