Bioinformatics ToxicologistKey Role:Support toxicology programs for multiple research programs in the Federal Government. Apply extensive expertise in bioinformatics and toxicology. Work independently and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to assist the Government in such analyses. Basic Qualifications:   10+ years of experience with leading a teamExperience with Next Generation Sequencing or microarray genotype dataExperience with multi-omics data analysis and biological data annotation, curation, and data mappingExperience with programming and testing in R, Python, Perl, C++, or JavaExperience with toxicology or toxicogenomicsAbility to ensure delivery of consistent and reproducible bioinformatic data analysis, analysis pipelines, programming and source code, informatics products, data sets, databases created and constructed, and approaches and solutionsAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to management, clients, researchers, and onsite staffAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Master’s degree in Toxicology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or Life SciencesAdditional Qualifications:  Experience with conducting analyses in high-performance computing (HPC) or cloud environmentsExperience with biostatistics and statistical modelingExperience with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, Qiagen, or Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA)Experience with conducting large-scale Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) analyses, including local ancestry inferenceExperience with NLP, text mining, and Machine Learning methodsExperience with analysis of cell culture imagingExperience with CheminformaticsKnowledge of human genomic data and common open-source bioinformatics analysis tools, including the UCSC genome browserAbility to comprehend and stay current with new trends and developments in multiple areas of bioinformatics, data, text mining, and computational methods and advise the Government regarding possible applications of such procedures to the government's researchDoctorate degree in Toxicology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or Life SciencesVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client. Create Your Career: Grow With Us Your growth matters to us—that’s why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
