Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team nearKankakee, IL. As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic and emotional well-being, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a School Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans for students.
  • Providing counseling and support services to students facing social and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students' needs and create effective support plans.
  • Facilitating group counseling sessions and workshops on topics relevant to students' well-being.
  • Advocating for students' rights and access to appropriate services.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of intervention plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential student records.


To be considered for the School Social Worker position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and a genuine mitment to supporting students' well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, parents, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school social work.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
