Our philosophy, is simply to provide the best that Minnesota has to offer.  Madden’s is currently seeking the position of Seasonal Golf Intern for the 2023 summer season.

General Purpose: The goal of the position is to introduce the internship to all positions at a multi course resort facility.  The primary duties will be splitting time between the golf shop and outside services with additional learning opportunities depending on the individual and experience level including; assist with the management of daily golf operations, managing and tracking play, protecting and assets, supervising golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, course host, golf instruction, caddying, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

Professional Development Responsibilities:


  • Complete necessary requirements and work toward membership in the PGA of America and/or LPGA.
  • Supervise and manage the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. 
  • Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.


Golf Shop Responsibilities:


  • Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
  • Assist in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
  • Proficient in the handicap program.
  • Assist in managing tournaments and outings.


Outside Service Responsibilities:


  • Make a great first impression, you only get one.
  • Serve our guests with a “CAN-DO ATTITUDE”.
  • Perform in accordance with the daily procedures.
  • Stage carts in staging area in an orderly and neat fashion.
  • Keep all carts clean and neat.
  • Responsible for the driving range.  Keeping ball stocked, range picked, balls cleaned, and keeping range in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Assist guests with golf clubs.  A guest should never have to carry their golf clubs once they arrive in the parking lot.
  • Man bag drop area.  Assist guests with golf clubs on and off bag drop.
  • Load and unload guest’s clubs from golf carts.
  • Clean guest's clubs upon completion of their round.
  • Keep cart staging and starting area non-congested, neat, and clean.  Do not allow carts to clog passage area and arrange them neatly after having been used.




  • Some experience is preferred but not required, again, we would like an individual with golf as a career path
