Diesel Mechanic

Looking for a Heavy Truck Technician in Southern AR area. If you have any experience in diagnoses cause of malfunctions and can perform repair on Detroit Diesel, Cummins, International or Mack Trucks. Ability to examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Documents all work performed and recommended on the driver repair order (Pre-trip/Post trip). Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Can work independently without supervision. Have skills necessary to utilize computer diagnostics and learn new software as equipment improves. Time management skills are a necessity. This is a full-time position, and you will be working assisting our other mechanics and will report to our shop superintendent, as we have grown and need help with our fleet. We use Motive Software/GPS on our trucks that send emails to our mechanics for pre-trip inspections and issues discovered by the Motive device. An associate degree in diesel technology or completion of a traineeship (preferred). National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certified diesel mechanics are preferred. A few years of experience as a diesel mechanic in troubleshooting is also preferred with our fleet. Benefit Package.
