Manager Pricing Operations Cox Business

Cox Communications, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Pricing Operations to drive the strategic vision for offer development, implementation, and future capability enhancements in Salesforce and other sales and billing systems. The candidate will guide future sales and billing system enhancements, including the deployment of targeted offers, offer recommendation, bundle presentation and enhanced digital offer capabilities. This critical role requires close collaboration with the Salesforce, Digital, Marketing, and other boundary partner teams to ensure the timely, efficient, and accurate implementation of pricing and offer strategy changes in advertising, sales, and billing systems. This role supports the Cox Business Pricing & Offer Strategy team.

What You'll Do

  • Create and submit sales and billing system requirements (e.g., Salesforce, etc.) for pricing and promotional offer changes approved by the Cox Business Pricing & Offer Strategy team.
  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce, Digital, Marketing, Billing, and other boundary partner teams to ensure the timely and efficient implementation of pricing projects.
  • Maintain organized tracking of ongoing offer, pricing, and product change requests and communicate timeline of upcoming changes effectively to the Cox Business Pricing Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Consult with Salesforce team on enhancement requests submitted by Cox Business Pricing and other teams. Help drive prioritization of requests and ensure solutions are scalable and meet overall business requirements.
  • Validate pricing, promotional offers and offer functionality in Salesforce as changes and enhancements are implemented.
  • Partner with Salesforce team to investigate potential pricing defects identified by Sales and Field Marketing teams, following any support tickets thru to resolution.
  • Maintain catalog of current and historical prices and promotional offers and update catalog as pricing and offer changes occur.
  • Provide thought leadership in the development and implementation of future Salesforce and billing system capabilities, including targeted offers, offer recommendation, bundle presentation, digital capabilities etc.
  • Maintain catalog of current and historical prices and promotional offers and update catalog as pricing and offer changes occur.
  • Update, enhance and distribute promo job aids as new promotions, promotion changes or other pricing enhancements are implemented in Salesforce.
  • Develop and/or derive key insights from reporting about offer usage, pricing approval processes, offer recommendation, and other areas of focus for the Cox Business Pricing & Offer Strategy team.
  • Provide project management and analytical support to the offer recommendation and next best action projects.
  • Execute the weekly process of assigning targeted eligibility offers to the appropriate cohort of eligible customers.

Who You Are


  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field (Pricing, Operations, Marketing, Sales or Product Management). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 4 years' experience, a PhD. and 1 year of experience or 10 years of experience in a related field with no degree
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and partner with cross-functional teams to successfully execute large-scale projects
  • Strong ability to create, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data sets, draw conclusions, and communicate findings and recommendations to others
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
  • Excellent business acumen with strong story-telling skills to communicate effectively and drive action
  • Must possess an internal client service orientation and work effectively in a matrix management environment
  • Ability to grasp and explain complicated subject matter to others across the organization that are less connected to the situation and/or are less technically oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work under pressure and think analytically
  • Outstanding attention to detail


  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in telecommunications or other subscription-based business
  • Proficiency with analytical tools including SQL and Tableau
  • Pricing and Operations experience
  • Skillsets to include Salesforce, Python, QuickBase, and Informatica

USD 97,100.00 - 161,800.00 per year


Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.


The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
