As a RAN Engineering Specialist, you'll apply radio frequency (RF) principles to assist our team with building a better network.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance, and optimization, and/or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.
  • May include engineering, design, development, test, implementation, maintenance, RF optimization, capacity management, performance management, encryption, and/or troubleshooting of satellite networks and Teleports, including underlying routing.
  • May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing.
  • Analyzes Radio Access Network (RAN) data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in network design, network planning or network analysis or related experience.
  • Interest in working with and understanding network data.
  • Ability to access data/KPIs via SQL and experience working with a scripting language like Python desired.

Our Specialist RAN Engineers earn between $87,200 - $130,800 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
