ELA Teacher - High School

Job Description:

Soliant Education is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic High School ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher to join our team in St. George, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in the study of English literature and language arts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Pennsylvania state standards for ELA
• Teach high school students various aspects of English literature, including novels, poetry, drama, and non-fiction
• Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love of reading and writing in students
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Provide constructive feedback on student work and assessments
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
• municate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and classroom activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in English/Language Arts
• Previous experience teaching high school ELA preferred
• Strong knowledge of English literature and language arts curriculum
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
