About this job

The IT Manager is responsible for managing the IT function for the organization including development of the department’s key business metrics and implementing systems and strategies that support the company’s objectives, drive operations efficiency and minimize service disruptions.

 

Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement technology strategies that support the company’s objectives, drive operational efficiency and minimize service disruptions/ outages in the restaurant environment.

 

  • -Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and operating systems and respond to help desk tickets (where escalation is required from help desk vendor) and provide timely resolution to IT issues.
  •  
  • -Reduce need for stores to call help desk through manager training and by providing how to guide materials to store • Minimize use of external resources through remote problem solving when possibly (screen sharing, phone communication)
  • -Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs
  •  
  • -Manage IT vendor relationships, inclusive of equipment purchase and outsourced service personnel
  •  
  • -Manage 3rd party replacement programs (POS equipment, servers, headsets) and recommend modifications and/ or new vendors when necessary • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks.
  •  
  • -Collaborate with Operation leaders to identify and implement IT solutions • Conduct software troubleshooting and resolve technical issues.

  • -Participate in monthly discussion with senior management to review budget, KPI’s
  •  
  • -Assist in the administration of network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  •  
  • -Perform system backups and ensure data integrity.
  •  
  • -Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses

  • -Serve as top-level escalation point for critical technology issues in the restaurant, advising Ops leaders of any issues that require involvement of cross-functional partners

  • -Support new store openings from an IT perspective
  •  
  • -Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, proactively recommending technology advancements and innovations to optimize restaurant operations.

  • -Follow all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  •  
  • -Participate in Wendy’s system-wide IT subject matter calls and reporting relevant findings/recommendations back to senior management.

Experience:

- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role.
- Experience with IT service management and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Experience in software development or IT project management is an asset.

Pay: $90,007.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

 

  • 8 hour shift

Required qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 18 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • At least bachelor's degree or higher
  • Valid driver's license
  • Restaurant front of house skills: point of sale (POS) operation
  • Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
  • Management skills: supervising employees
  • Willing to travel between states
  • Able to work from home
