Overview:
Looking for a driven sales professional with third-party logistics experience. The ideal candidate will create a sales pipeline by building relationships with potential customers through cold and warm outreach. Qualify prospects, secure new business and assist with meeting their business needs. Manage a book of business and maintain those customer relationships through professional communication including calls, emails, and customer visits. Work with all internal teams to make sure customers’ needs are met reliably and seamlessly.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain high level of customer relationship management through professional communication with current and potential customers
· Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
· Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities; coordinate business generation activities; develop customized targeted sales strategies
· Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support; answer potential customers’ questions and follow-up call questions; respond to customers’ request for proposals (RFPs)
· Collaborate with leadership to secure, retain and grow accounts
· Conduct customer outreach via calls, emails, customer visits, etc. in order to work with customers and facilitate the closing process
· Meet all quotas for the cold, active, inactive calls, appointments and interviews; meet and exceed annual sales goals
· Stay abreast of current customers’ accounts from pickup through delivery so that updated and accurate information can be provided to our customers
· Collaborate with the internal Sales and Operations teams to ensure that all information is accurate
· Enter all information into the CRM and facilitate a handoff to the broker once an agreement to submit an order has been reached
· Accurately track growth opportunities through a customer relations management (CRM) tool
Skills and Qualifications
· 1- 2 Years Freight brokerage or Freight account management experience required
· Prior dispatch/transportation experience preferred but not required
· Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills required
· Basic understanding of Microsoft suite and prior experience with CRM and TMS preferred
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and switch quickly between tasks with minimal downtime
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities and time-management skills
