Yard Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Yard Supervisor at Waste Solutions of Iowa, you play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient functioning and upkeep of our facilities and operations. You will lead and support a team of Yard Technicians, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and performance standards are met. Your responsibilities encompass equipment maintenance, inventory management, yard and shop cleanliness, chemical handling, and event support. In addition to these core duties, you will adapt swiftly to changing needs and directives, performing a range of tasks such as repairing, preparing, and servicing assets, supporting pick-up, delivery, and routes, driving company vehicles, making brine, and assisting with truck preparations. POSITION OVERVIEW:

1. Supervise a team of Yard Technicians.
2. Inventory & Equipment Management.
3. Oversee the yard layout and organization of the equipment yard for efficient storage and accessibility.
4. Organize and maintain chemicals used in equipment cleaning and maintenance
5. Quality Assurance: conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with quality standards.
6. Support operations team for all events by providing necessary equipment and services.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in equipment management, preferably in the construction or rental industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of portable restroom is desirable
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills with all team members and customers
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting
• Skid Steer experience
• Valid Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred)\
• Previous supervision and leading of a team
