Volt is immediately hiring for Assembly Technicians in Kingston, NY.

As an assembly technician you will:
• Use numerous types of hand tools in electro-mechanical assembly.

• Read mechanical and electrical drawings to layout required equipment and materials.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to layout required equipment and materials prior to starting assembly.
• Identify “best method” type approach to completing tasks.

• Inspect your assembled work prior to final inspection, using supplied checklists
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisor, notify of problems

This is a full time opportunity.
1st shift hours, flexible. Most work 5a-3p M-Th, and some OT on Fridays as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and bills of material.
• Previous assembly using instructions, hand tools, electro-mechanical assembly.
• Auto mechanics, equipment maintenance techs, equipment installers
• Able to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization

Pay Rate: $18-23/hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
