The Internship Program is designed to offer real-world training and professional development for students aspiring to careers in engineering. It aims to enhance your technical skills by providing hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, where engineering disciplines play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective production processes. Additionally, the program offers exposure to experienced business leaders, mentors, and subject matter experts, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.
Below is a description of potential assignments. Selection of the assignment will involve the participant's preference, availability of the assignment, and the needs of the organization. The specific responsibilities within each assignment may vary based upon the immediate needs of the business.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
Actively pursuing a 4-year Engineering degree or related field
Completed two years of full-time study or equivalent
Previous internship or work experience preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Must have strong written and oral communication skills for direct and frequent communication with internal and external customers and suppliers
Must have good interpersonal skills for our multi-functional team environment
Ability to work with all levels, including management and production personnel, to resolve technical issues that are identified through the manufacturing process
Applications Engineer
Key members of the customer service team and partner with the outside sales team to provide technical assistance in the integration of company products into customer applications.
Mechanical Engineer
Apply principles of mechanics, physics, and materials science to create new or improve existing products.Their role involves ensuring machinery operates efficiently, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other engineers to enhance production processes
Electrical Engineer
Designed to provide you with practical skills and knowledge in electrical engineering, such as circuit design, power design testing and validation testing.
Design Engineer
Transforms ideas into functional products by creating detailed plans and prototypes. They consider aesthetics, functionality, and user experience, using engineering software to refine their designs. Their work ensures that products are not only innovative but also practical and manufacturable
Quality Engineer
Guardian of excellence, ensuring every product meets the highest standards. They design robust quality control systems, perform meticulous tests, and analyze data to spot improvement opportunities. By collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions, they help streamline processes, reduce waste, and elevate overall efficiency
Manufacturing Engineer
The focal point of the manufacturing process as they interact with all of the internal support functions and external resources to ensure that the production process is streamlined and maintained without interruption.
Software Engineer
Offers the potential to perform a broad array of tasks related to software development activities. Specific types of engineering-related activities may include software requirements analysis, definition, and validation; software verification; technical collaboration; assisting in the resolution of technical problems; and developing software related documentation.
Continuous Improvement Engineer
A master of efficiency, dedicated to streamlining production and slashing waste. Using the power of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, they pinpoint inefficiencies and craft innovative solutions. Their role is all about diving deep into current processes, devising smart strategies for improvement, and ensuring lasting changes that supercharge productivity
