We received tons of amazing, heartfelt stories about working moms - women who work tirelessly for their families and at their job (often, their jobs). We read stories of incredible challenges, faced with unconditional love.
To all our entrants: we are so grateful that you shared your stories with us. It was a privilege to get to know the amazing women in your lives. Below are the moms selected to receive flowers. We sincerely wish we were able to send each and every nominee a prize. I encourage you to share your story with the mom you told us about; sometimes knowing you’re appreciated is the very best gift of all.

Congratulations to our winners!
Working through adversity
“In all my life, there is no single time my mother Crystal has failed to be there for me and my family. She may not have the greatest job in the world or the best health to live with, but she works her hardest to bring as much as she can to the table. My mom cares so much for everyone around her, always putting others before herself.” Shared by: Kelsie
Inspiring her kids, and others
“My mother Daphne is a full time single mother. She works everyday with children at a school in Newark, NJ as a security guard to help keep the children safe. My mom loves to see children succeed. When she sees a child that is not taking school seriously, she takes time out and explains to the child that they want to be something in life. My mom raised two foster children and myself, she always cooked a healthy home cooked meal for her family everyday and still managed to help us with homework and getting ready for school the next day. My mother will always try to help a person in need or even an animal. She has a huge heart.” Shared by: Shani
You’re not alone
“My Aunt Kathie is a single mother of twins who works a full time job, She very rarely gets any time to herself. Kathie is a great inspiration of what a mother should be, she works hard everyday to provide her kids with the life that they desereve. Kathie lost her father of lung cancer and then 4 months later, her mother. It has been a huge loss for us all. I think for Kathie it makes her feel like she is competely alone in the world. I would like to send her these flowers on mother’s day to let her know she is not alone and she never will be.” Shared by: Jennifer
Devoted mom and employee
“My mother is a Superwomen… she’s my hero, my idol, my everything. She is such a hard worker with no time for herself. She is a single parent of 3 and has been for the past 15 years now. She has often struggled to make ends meet for my two brothers and I. She works 7 days a week, no off days. It would mean the world to me to do something special for her on Mothers Day. I am currently unemployed and not sure how or what I could do for her on this special day to show her my appreciation for being such a good mother and father to our family. She has devoted her life for my two brothers and I. She works two jobs. She is just overall a hardworking struggling parent that deserves the world.” Shared by: TeArica
Love knows no bounds
I know everyone says this but my mom is the best. Before immigrating to the United States she already had 4 children and moving to another country isn't easy, but she made it happen. When we arrived in Minnesota she didn't know English and didn't have an education. She couldn't work because of lack of English and she also had to take care of her 4 young children. While my dad went to school she stayed home and took care of my siblings and me, but after my dad graduated my mom got her GED then went to college. While in college she was raising 5 children and working. After graduating from college she went to work at a school to help immigrants learn English. She's made it so far from where she was when we first came to the United States. I'm so proud of her. My mom does everything in the house; she cooks, cleans, and makes us do our homework. She's amazing and I love her. Shared by: Khao nou
A special working grandmother
My mother is a hardworking woman and she is the strongest person I have ever met in my life. She is my grandmother, but she has been taking care of me since I was nine months old and I’m seventeen now. She took over my real parents job and she does a great job at what she does. My grandmother is the hardest working person I have ever met, she has five jobs and I really don’t see her that often but when I do see her it is the light of my day, even though she is always so tired I really love seeing her. A wonderful mom (and boss)
I met Janey a few years ago when I started working at the a nursing home, she was my supervisor. She is a patient, kind, caring and loving woman. She teaches the group knowledge and shows easier ways to do our job. When someone new is hired she has the utmost kindness and patience. She is a great mother and grandma as well. I never hear her speak and ill word about anyone. She always has a smile on her face. She is a great boss, mother and friend. I will always treasure her friendship. She will always be a part of me as she is like a mother to me and many others. Love you Janey. Hope your Mothers Day is filled with all the happiness and joy you so deserve. Shared by: Marcia
My aunt is one of the hardest working aunts I know. She’s a single mom of two she works from 7 am to 430. Then she leaves from there and goes too her other job where she’s a daycare provider. My auntie has little time to herself. I really believe she deserves those flowers… even if she doesn’t get them I want her too know that she is special and happy Mother’s Day.
Thanks again for sharing all the countless special stories about these precious working mothers. Each and every one of you is special and cherished. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
